When it comes to fatty liver, we first think of obesity. In fact, fatty liver is not exclusive to obese people. It covers a wide range of people and has a high incidence rate. Although there are no obvious symptoms at the initial stage, it has buried a lot of hidden dangers for health.

What is fatty liver
The liver is the main place for fat synthesis, utilization and transportation. Therefore, when fat transport in the liver is out of balance, it will accumulate in the liver and form fatty liver.
Normal people's liver contains a small amount of fat, such as triglycerides, phospholipids, glycolipids and cholesterol, and the weight is about 3-5% of the liver weight.
When the fat content exceeds 10%, it is mild fatty liver; 10-25% were moderate fatty liver; 25-50% were severe fatty liver.

What factors can cause fatty liver
1. Alcoholic fatty liver: Excessive drinking will lead to alcoholic fatty liver. Alcohol is the first killer of the liver. Long term heavy drinking will lead to a large amount of triglycerides accumulated in the liver, thus gradually forming fatty liver.

2. Nutritional overnutrition fatty liver: If the long-term maintenance of high oil, high salt and high sugar diet habits leads to excessive energy intake of the body. Excess nutrients will be converted into fat for storage, so it is easy to get fatty liver.

3. Nutritional deficient fatty liver: It is not only eating more meat that will lead to fatty liver, but it is the opposite of nutritional overnutrition fatty liver. Chronic malnutrition and lack of protein intake can lead to nutritional deficient fatty liver.

For example, long-term vegetarians are likely to lack protein in their bodies due to unbalanced nutrition, and the liver needs protein to transport fat away, so it will cause obstacles in fat transport, causing fat to accumulate in the liver.

4. Long term circadian rhythm disorder, that is, irregular work and rest, may also lead to nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. Because it may promote the disorder and metabolic disorder at the whole genome level, trigger the dysfunction of sympathetic nervous system and cholestasis, thus activating the process of nonalcoholic fatty liver developing to hepatitis, liver fibrosis and liver cancer.

Harm of fatty liver
The incidence of fatty liver disease in China is high, more than 10%. Mild fatty liver disease is mostly asymptomatic, and moderate fatty liver disease is slightly uncomfortable, such as tiredness and fatigue, which makes some people relax their vigilance against it. In fact, fatty liver is a chronic disease, which is very harmful.

The liver is the largest glandular organ of the human body. It is like a "chemical processing factory" where sugars, proteins and lipids are decomposed and metabolized, and drugs and alcohol are detoxified through it.

If fatty liver occurs, lipid metabolism and operation will be impaired, energy metabolism will be disordered, and the immune function of the body will be greatly reduced; If the fat accumulates excessively in the liver for a long time, the blood supply, oxygen supply and self metabolism of the liver will be continuously affected, which will cause steatohepatitis and cause a lot of edema, inflammatory infiltration, degeneration and necrosis of liver cells; 15%~25% of steatohepatitis will develop fibrosis, and 3%~8% of patients will eventually develop cirrhosis, liver cancer and liver failure.

In addition, fatty liver can also lead to hormone metabolism disorder, cause cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, promote the formation of atherosclerosis, induce or lead to coronary heart disease, diabetes and hypertension. The liver is the operation center of the human body. The liver function will be damaged, and other organs of the body will also be greatly affected. Fatty liver should arouse people's enough vigilance and attention.

How to prevent fatty liver
☆ Control your diet, and be full at seven points per meal.

☆ Adjust the diet structure, eat more coarse grains and vegetables, eat less fried and red meat, avoid butter, cheese and other foods, and do not drink. If you are a vegetarian, you should ensure adequate protein intake.

☆ Try not to eat anything before going to bed, eat less or try not to eat snacks, and drink less fruit milk tea and sugary drinks.

☆ Note that some fruits also contain a lot of sugar. Long term overeating can lead to high blood sugar and blood lipids. You can choose fruits with less sugar, such as apples, vegetables, such as cucumbers, tomatoes, etc.

☆ Do not take liver protecting drugs on your own, and avoid or use less drugs that damage the liver when you are ill.

☆ At least three and a half hours of exercise shall be guaranteed every week.

For fatty liver, early prevention and early treatment are the best choice.
